GOSH I wish I could give this place 5 stars just based off of the Fish Sauce Chicken Wings alone!!! Literally SO GOOD. I have gotten it twice now and I absolutely loved it. You cannot go wrong with anything that you order from here, the quality is so great and fresh! I also got a Vermicelli bowl and it was so delicious. However, I do give it 4 stars because of the price. I'm not sure if it is because this is located in University City, but for the price point I would hope to get a bit bigger portion sizes. I have been to several Vietnamese restaurants in Philly and either the portions match the price or it's cheaper for less food. I do want to emphasize again though that I wish I could give this place 5 stars based off of the food alone. The service was good. It's a cute restaurant with outdoor seating and there is a fan in the inside when it's hot but still has you sweatin a bit inside since it's not actual AC, not complaining just an FYI for future customers. I do love this place and I will for sure be back (with or without friends)!

Pho & Cafe Saigon is a solid option for Vietnamese food in UCity. I've been many times in the past few years, and I've always had a pretty consistent experience (minus the gradual increase in prices lol). While the Pho here is good and solid, I would hesitate to say it's the best. I also haven't ventured to try out their other food options, but I am impressed that they offer so much variety. Considering the price, I feel like the portion sizes aren't that big. When the weather is nice, the outside dining area has a great ambience. I've also always had quick service. Since Pho & Cafe Saigon has always ben so reliable, I happily come back here whenever I get the craving for Viet food but I don't wanna make the trip down to South Philly.

I tried pho Saigon for the first time today and it was absolutely delicious i tried the pad thai and my coworkers had the butter fried chicken and the salt and pepper shrimp the food is freshly made to order and the portions are generous the place is clean and cute and the customer service is excellent

Great place quick service and even better food in my opinion very cozy they never rush you they closed at 9pm during the week I believe and I went at 845 they let me stay until I was finished even gave me bottle of wine and orange on the house made me feel special around the holiday lol

It's so been so many years since I've been here. YEARS. I remember having somewhat of a bad experience here and so I put it to I rest. My daughter dined here the other night and came home raving about it so I had to see for myself. I ordered crispy shrimp spring rolls and grilled pork pho. The spring rolls were delicious and the pho was warm and comforting. One thing I might add however, is I expected the pork to be a slow grilled meaty pork chop. Thick and tender. I received grilled pork but it was very thin . More like "shaved" pork. It still tasted ok, however I was a tiny bit disappointed. The place is small and it felt like it was important to eat and depart, however the food was decent and the complimentary coconut jello was a sweet surprise. (BYOB!)

Convenient spot for students in the area. I've only tried their vermicelli, which is really yummy, but the meat is always slightly too oily for my liking. They definitely reduced their portion size over the past two years while increasing their prices.

Honestly not bad. I'm more impressed with the non-pho options here. The food was cooked well and my catfish in clay pot was immaculate. The only real gripe I have is the fact that the prices here are quite high. The meatball springrolls were interesting but not something I would ever get again but the sauce it was served with was delicious. The fried sping rolls were also fried well but a bit heavy and debatably almost too much food.

Pretty Reliable pho spot with some good vegetarian options! I usually opt for the special pho chay, the taro wontons are to die for and taste uncannily meat-ish (make sure to specify to add them if youre ordering thru snackpass or another delivery app cuz sometimes they forget). Drinks are great here, really cant go wrong with any esp like the avocado smoothie and vietnamese ice coffee. I got the stir fried vermicelli w tofu this time around and it was okay, probably wouldnt get again. Also had a mix up with the numbers while ordering -- tried to get a #59 on the drink menu to go but by accident a broken rice food dish came out. Just make sure to b specific abt what your order is!

My previous review 6 years ago I gave 1 star for the Pho Ga since it was literally inedible, and I haven't been back since (see previous review) Two nights ago, I had a hankering for Pho Ga and this was the best convenient option for me at the time. I decided that it's been 6 years, the place is still open - maybe that 1 star review was just a bad night.. I'll give them a try on takeout. I ordered on Grubhub and the order was ready upon arrival, easy pick up process. I am happy to report that the Pho Ga was good! Solid broth, the noodles were a little al-dente and undercooked, but only barely. My go-to for the last 6 years in this area has been Vietnam Cafe and I still think their broth is more flavorful, but their portion is slightly smaller. I'm glad to say that based on my experience, I would have no issues returning back when I'm craving pho in this area.
